2020 saw the world work in new ways, confined to our houses and not able to meet in person. To succeed in a Covid world, recruitment and staffing needed to quickly shift to being fully online and accessible.
Fortunately for us, we had implemented new staffing and recruitment software at the very start of 2020, meaning only had to make a few tweaks to our recruitment process when lockdown started.
Having been with our recruitment partners, Fountain, and staffing-app partners Ubeya for just over a year, we’ve seen a wealth of benefits to using technology and working in collaboration.
Benefit 1) Improved candidate and team member experience: candidates can complete applications in their own time, at their own pace. Hired team members can book shifts, contact the team, sign in and out of shifts, and view their income all from the phone in their pocket!
Benefit 2) Client transparency and visibility on team members and bookings: clients too can request bookings, rate team members and track progress from their phones in the lead up to a shift. You can also have a customised recruitment process for a specific venue or role, so only the best candidates become team members.
Benefit 3) No geographic barriers: geography is no longer an issue for us, as we can recruit from anywhere in the UK. In the last year, we’ve had shifts from Aberdeen to Truro and everywhere in between! Working in these new locations has been a huge benefit of having this technology, for both us and our clients.
Combining both platforms into one swift process means our candidates have an efficient and user-friendly experience, and our clients have full visibility on the people we book into their shifts.
